Wiltshire Air Ambulance's battle to survive

Wiltshire's Air Ambulance service is warning lives could be lost if it is unable to raise £2.5 million needed to keep it in the air.

The helicopter is currently shared with the county's police but next year the constabulary will end that agreement - taking with it 2/3 of vital funding.

In a special report, our Wiltshire reporter Robert Murphy asks if the air ambulance can survive.

Wiltshire's flying ambulance 'at risk'

Paramedics are warning that lives could be lost if Wiltshire's Air Ambulance service cannot raise the money it needs to keep flying.

The county's helicopter is currently shared with the police force - but the constabulary is withdrawing to join another service at the end of next year.

This means the air ambulance needs to raise more than £2million for the service to continue.
