Hospitals and universities in Devon and Cornwall have been given £10 million from the government to help research the conditions and illnesses that burden the NHS.
And experts in the south west say it's already paying off.

Health researchers in Bristol and mental health researchers in Devon are to receive millions of pounds worth of Government money to help them with their work.
The Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust is looking into dementia and also mental health in school children.
