Green's candidate list is 'gender balanced'

I am delighted to have been selected as the party's lead candidate for the South West and, if the polls are right, I look forward to being the first Green to represent the South West in the European Parliament. I am also proud that the Green Party's selection was by a fully democratic vote of our party members. The fact that this ensured a gender balanced list is a clear indication of the equality inherent in green politics’.

– Cllr Molly Scott Cato, Lead European candidate.

How you vote in the European elections

For European elections, the UK uses a form of proportional representation, where parties gain seats in proportion to the number of votes cast for them so every vote counts.

There are six seats available in the West Country under this electoral system.
