Spending a penny is becoming increasingly expensive in Cornwall. The main council is now charging for some of the public toilets. One town council is asking local pubs and cafes to help it out by allowing the public to use their facilities.

There's growing anger in Cornwall that a charge is being made for a number of public toilets.

Cornwall Council now maintains more than 50 toilets after it offloaded nearly 200 to cut costs.

A large number public toilets across the West Country could be closed as councils seek ways to save money.

In Devon, Teignbridge Councillors have been discussing the possibility of closing almost half the district's loos.
