A paralympian has completed 40 marathons in 40 days, finishing in Land's End yesterday

Paralympian Richard Whitehead completed his 40th marathon in Land's End yesterday.

After starting his first marathon in John O'Groats, he ran more than 1500km. He undertook the physical challenge to raise money for Sarcoma UK and Scope.

After running more than 1500km, Paralympian Richard Whitehead is due to complete his 40th and final marathon today, finishing at Land's End.

He set off from Helston earlier today and has described the experience as like "a rollercoaster"
