A discount food warehouse in Bristol has been fined £61,000 for five offences relating to food safety and hygiene.
Environmental health inspectors prosecuted the Avonmouth branch of Costco following the discovery of a large number of mouse droppings in January 2012.
Officers found evidence of rodent damage to food and food packaging, including a high number of to ready-to-eat foods like snack mixes, nuts and crisps.
