McCoy misses out on landmark win

Tony McCoy missed out on an historic 4,000th career win at Exeter today after failing to take victory in his three rides today.

It would have proved to be a fitting venue for McCoy to reach the landmark as Exeter racecourse was the scene of the Northern Irishman's first ever winner in England. He finished first on Chickabiddy for Gordon Edwards in September 1994.

He has another chance at Chepstow Races tomorrow.
