Judges refuse appeal

Judges at the Court of Appeal have refused to grant an appeal to the Somerset businessman convicted of selling fake bomb detectors.

James McCormick from Langport was convicted of fraud earlier this year at the Old Bailey.

It was claimed he had made £50million from a device which was based on a novelty golf ball finder.

Judge Elgan Edwards said McCormick had probably caused death and injury.
