Floodwater on the track between Newton Abbot and Paignton has led to the cancellation of all train services on the stretch so far this morning (Saturday 21 December).

Flooding still causing major disruption to Devon trains

Rail replacement buses are queuing outside Newton Abbot and Paignton stations, as floodwater has cancelled all train services on the stretch. This will add 20 minutes to journey times. There is still no estimate for when a normal service will resume.

A small amount of floodwater on the line between Newton Abbot and Paignton was enough to cancel all trains on the stretch this morning. Rail replacement bus services are operating and engineers are inspecting the line for damage. There is no current estimate for when a normal service will resume.
