A man who died in a pile-up on the A30 in Cornwall last Sunday has been named. Michael Gregson died at the scene of the crash near Bolventor, a few miles east of Bodmin. Mr Gregson lived in the Truro area.
Two other people were injured in the accident involving three vehicles travelling eastbound. Another three vehicles collided on the westbound carriageway, but nobody was hurt. Police have appealed for witnesses.
Following an accident involving five cars at Bolventor, Cornwall, the A30 is completely closed in both directions between the A395 and the A38. In addition, the westbound carriageway is still closed between the two A388 just south of Launceston, following an earlier accident there.
The second accident on the A30 happened at Bolventor, Cornwall, and involved five vehicles. The road is partially blocked. This is in addition to an earlier fatal accident on the same road near Launceston, involving four vehicles.
At least one person has been killed after two separate accidents on the A30 near Launceston this morning. Both collisions involved several vehicles. The westbound carriageway is still closed, though the eastbound side has reopened.
The A30 has been closed in both directions between the A388 Tavistock Road (Callington turn-off) and the A388 (Polson/Lifton Down turn-off). Four vehicles are involved and the road is likely to stay closed until lunchtime.
