The former captain of Torquay United who helped guide the club to promotion from the Football Conference in his playing days at Plainmoor says he'll do his upmost to keep the Gulls in the football league.
Chris Hargreaves also revealed that he had been offered the vacant manager's job at Northampton Town this week, the side that sit one place below Torquay at the bottom of League 2.
This afternoon's press conference at Plainmoor - Hargreaves is sat in between Club chairwoman Thea Bristow and Vice-chairman Alex Rowe. Hargreaves is joined by his assistant manager Lee Hodges (far left).
Torquay United have revealed that Chris Hargreaves is the new manager at Plainmoor.
He replaces Alan Knill, who left the club last week.
