Plans for a new Tesco supermarket to be built in Tavistock have been approved.

West Devon Borough Council's planning committee went against a planning officer's recommendations.

The town is known for its independent shops and businesses, and people are worried it will affect trade in the town. The new store will create more than 100 jobs.
