A post-mortem examination has confirmed a woman found dead in her home in Bristol died after suffering head injuries.

The body of Sarah O'Neill was discovered at Rose Green Close on Wednesday. A 27 year old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder. Sergio Saavedra-Navarrete is due to appear at Bristol Magistrates Court tomorrow.


Man charged with murder of Bristol woman

Sergio Saavedra-Navarrete, 27, has today (Saturday 11 January) been formally charged at Bristol Magistrates Court with the murder of Sarah O'Neill, 22, on January 8 2014. Her body was discovered shortly before midday on the same day at a property in Rose Green Close, Bristol.

Sergio Saavedra-Navarrete was remanded in custody to appear at Bristol Crown Court this Tuesday.

Murder investigation in Bristol

An investigation has begun following a sudden death at a property in Bristol.

Shortly before midday today police were informed that a woman had died in a property in Rose Green Close. Police officers attended the scene and found the body of a woman.

An investigation has begun to establish the circumstances of the death. At this stage the death is being treated as unexplained. A 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in custody.
