Cllr Peter Smith, the Deputy Leader of Plymouth Council is suggesting that the Hoe will be buzzing but there is space in the harbour, if people want to come by boat.
Plymouth is preparing for its biggest event of the year tonight - as MTV Crashes hits the Hoe.
A crowd of around 20,000 people is expected for the event which has the Kaiser Chiefs headlining.
Motorists are being advised to stay clear of the area - there are widespread road closures around the Hoe.
