Devon's Jo Pavey has won a bronze medal after a battling display in the women's 5,000 metres.

The 40-year-old was leading at the bell, but was overtaken by three Kenyans. However, Pavey found the strength to power past Margaret Muriuki and almost caught silver medallist Janet Kisa.

It's her first medal at the Games since taking silver in the same competition in Melbourne in 2006.
