Jo Blinman, who has had both legs amputated but was told she could not take part in the Bristol Half Marathon because she would take too long will now be able to take part after all. Organisers have given the go-ahead for her to compete in the wheelchair event on 21st September.
A woman who has had both legs amputated has been told she cannot take part in the Bristol Half Marathon because she would take too long. Jo Blinman had hoped to walk the 13 miles over the course of a week but the council says it simply cannot afford to keep the event going that long.
