A woman who was trapped under a cart at Chard Carnival remains in a critical condition this evening.
The woman, in her forties, has yet to be formally identified.
The accident happened at the end of the procession on Saturday night.
Police have confirmed the woman injured is one of the ground crew.
They said this morning the woman is now in a "serious but stable condition".
She was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol after the incident.
A crowdfunding page had been set-up to help her family through this time.

The woman, who's been described as an "incredible grandmother", was a member of the event's road team.
She was trapped under the Adventures of Mowgli cart which was being run by the Somerset-based Eclipse Carnival Club.
Club bosses thanked the emergency services for helping their member.

Police confirmed that the woman injured was a member of the road crew, and say her injuries are believed to be life threatening.
South Western Ambulance Service said she was airlifted to Southmead Hospital in Bristol with serious leg injuries.
An investigation has been launched and the Health and Safety Executive notified.
