A39 near Bideford closed after lorry overturns
There's been a serious collision between a car and a log-carrying lorry on the A39 near Bideford in North Devon.
The lorry has overturned, shedding its load of logs across the carriage way.
Police and other emergency services are at the scene. Paramedics treated the car driver at the scene and he has been taken to North Devon District Hospital with potentially life threatening injuries.
The road closed has been closed at Westleigh and Roundswell, and is expected to remain closed for most of the day.

The A39 is closed in both directions after an accident between A389 / B3314 Gonvena Hill (The Ball Roundabout, Wadebridge) and B3267 (St Teath).

Snowploughs clear huge drifts on A39 over Exmoor
Snowploughs have been hard at work on the A39 over Exmoor this afternoon. The stretch between Porlock and the turn-off for Brendon 6 miles towards Lynmouth is still closed after strong winds created drifts over six feet high.

The road is currently blocked between Porlock Hill and the turning for Brendon 6 miles towards Lynmouth. High winds have created snowdrifts over 6 feet high and snowploughs equipped with blowers are working to clear the road. The temperature this afternoon was 3c at Porlock.

Snowploughs battling to clear A39 snow in high winds
Our reporter David Woodland is out on the A39 over Exmoor and has just sent this picture. The road is still partially closed from the top of Porlock Hill to the turning for Oare, as high winds have created snowdrifts up to 6 feet deep. Snowploughs have been at work all afternoon.

A39 near Crealy in Cornwall blocked due to accident
The A39 is blocked near Crealy and there are long delays due to an accident. Two vehicles are believed to be involved in the crash which happened between the A389 (Hals' Grave junction) and B3274 (Winnards Perch). Emergency services are at the scene.
