At least one person has been seriously injured in a multi-vehicle accident on the A38 in Plymouth. It happend on the Exeter bound carriageway of the A38 between Manadon and Marsh Mills. Police say there were freezing conditions in the area at the time.
A man is being treated at Derriford Hospital and is said to be in a critical condition.

There were a total of five collisions, involving ten vehicles. The road is expected to be closed until 1300 hours.
The A386 Abbey Place in Tavistock is blocked both ways due to accident. It involves a lorry and fallen power cables between Abbey Place and the A390 at Armada Roundabout. The police have set up diversions.
There has been a serious accident involving a motorbike and a car at Warmwell near Dorchester in Dorset. The B3390 is closed between the A353/A352 junction and Moreton Road and is likely to remain so for some time.
A rock climber has died after falling from cliffs at a popular climbing spot near Zennor in Cornwall. The man, believed to be Dutch and in his 30s, was airlifted from the rocks at Bosigran yesterday. He later died in hospital.
