Bedminster residents return home after blast

Residents living in Bedminster in Bristol are being allowed back into their homes following a fire and the discovery of a hazardous substance.

One person has been arrested and the cordon in Hastings Close has been reduced. Police say they're still trying to establish what the chemicals were being used for.

'He's done remarkably well' : people of the South West thank Prince Philip

Prince Philip will not make any further official appearances in the South West after announcing his retirement.

The 95 year-old will step down from service in the autumn and there are no scheduled engagements in the West Country before then.

Graffiti marriage proposal brings love to Bristol street

A couple in Bristol have got engaged after a rather unique proposal - in graffiti.

The colourful display can be seen in North Street, in the Bedminster area of the city.

Groom-to-be Jago teamed up with the street artist and illustrator known as SPZero76 to ask his partner Anna to be his wife.

Luckily for such a public proposal - she said yes.

Today I helped Jago propose to Anna with the help of Upfest - The Urban Paint Festival

She said Yes!!!
