Horse owners in a part of Cornwall have been warned to check their animals after a suspected attack. A nine year-old mare suffered a severe laceration to her leg in a field near Callington, leaving her so badly injured she had to be destroyed on the spot.
It happened last Friday night. Police are calling on horse owners in the area to watch out for any unusual activity.
