A Cornwall man has been trampled to death by cows in Staffordshire. 62 year old Peter Jakeman from Callington died after the incident in a field off the A52 Leek Road in Upper Mayfield on Wednesday morning. His death is not being treated as suspicious.

Horse owners in a part of Cornwall have been warned to check their animals after a suspected attack. A nine year-old mare suffered a severe laceration to her leg in a field near Callington, leaving her so badly injured she had to be destroyed on the spot.
It happened last Friday night. Police are calling on horse owners in the area to watch out for any unusual activity.
