CCTV images released after knifepoint robbery

Police investigating a knifepoint robbery in Gloucester last night have released CCTV images in the hope of identifying the offender.

It happened at McColl's newsagent in Askwith Road.

A man entered the shop, threatened staff with a knife and made off with cash and cigarettes which he put in a black holdall.

No one was injured, but staff members were very shaken.

Avon and Somerset police are searching for a man they want to speak to in connection with an attempted robbery in Taunton.

Police have revealed a CCTV image of the man who they are trying to identify.

The attempted robbery took place at around 8.15am yesterday at Sainsbury’s on Hankridge Farm Retail Park.

A man threatened a member of staff after he was stopped attempting to steal a number of memory cards from the store.

The man then made off on a bicycle.

Anyone who recognises the man in the image is asked to call 101.

Police have released CCTV images of a man they want to identify in connection with a serious assault on a teenager in Bristol city centre.

A 19-year-old man suffered a fractured eye socket and a head wound after being attacked in Denmark Street between 3.35am and 3.45am on Saturday 21 January.

The attacker is believed to have been at Ramshackle at the O2 Academy immediately before the assault. He ran off towards St Augustines Parade afterwards.
