Amber snow warning in place for South West on Sunday

The Met Office has issued a warning of snow in the South West.

An amber warning is in place for large parts of Somerset and Devon the region tomorrow (Sunday), while a yellow warning is in place for the rest of the region.

The first of the snowfall is expecting to start on Saturday evening, becoming heavier on Sunday morning.

An amber warning means travel delays on roads are likely, stranding some vehicles and passengers, and delays and cancellations to rail and air travel are also likely.


Truro bus station to close for ten weeks

The Bus Station in Green Street in Truro is to be closed for maintenance and refurbishment for approximately ten weeks from Monday 26th March.

Buses will operate from the following city centre locations:

  • Services T1, T2, 85 & 87:Arrive at Boscawen Street Depart from Victoria Square
  • Services 46, 47 & T3:Arrive at Boscawen Street Depart from Lemon Quay
  • Services U1, 36 & 66:Arrive at Lemon Quay Depart from Lemon Quay
  • Services 22, 27, 50, 51, 90, 92, 93, 94 & 95:Arrive at Quay Street Depart from Boscawen Street

The works are taking place to bring the station in line with the One Public Transport System for Cornwall (OPTSfC) project which is aimed at creating an integrated public transport system.
