Hotel prices in Newquay rose by twelve percent in the first six months of the year according to a survey by the website Hotel.com.
It makes the town one of only ten UK destinations to see an increase in average prices. The price of an average room in the town is £89.
A derelict hotel in Newquay has been badly damaged by fire.
At its height, ten appliances were needed to tackle the blaze on the first and second floors of the former Hotel Riviera, Lusty Glaze Road.
It is known as a building for rough sleepers but no one was injured.
Demolition of the former Falmouth Beach Hotel gets underway tomorrow.
The building was badly damaged by fire in April. Demolition experts have been assessing the site today. Local residents also met with staff to discuss plans for a new hotel in its place.

A full-scale demolition is now being carried out after the whole site was deemed too badly damaged to save. It'll take around six weeks to complete.
The 120 bedroom hotel was gutted by fire in April.
The meeting is being held at the Green Lawns Hotel at 10am.
