The property's safety has been a concern of Susan's for some time as there have been two recent slips very close to house.
The wall directly behind the house has been showing signs of stress after the recent adverse weather conditions and flow of water from St Martin's Hill
Contractors were working on the property to support the retaining wall.

We also understand that other residents have voiced their concerns about the safety of the area prior to this tragedy.

Cornwall Councillor Edwina Hannaford says the town of Looe is "in shock" after a woman was killed in a landslip.

A body has been found in what remains of a house in Cornwall after it collapsed during torrential rain overnight following a major landslip.
The area around the home in Sandplace Road in Looe has been sealed off all day. Sniffer dogs were called in and this afternoon members of the emergency services found the body of what's believed to be Susan Norman inside.
Residents nearby are angry tonight as they say they've warned Cornwall Council on a number of occasions about the threat of landslips behind their homes.

The body has not been identified or recovered at this time.
