Family appeal to find killer

The family of a Cornish farmer murdered ten years ago have asked those shielding his killer to come forward. It came after a verdict of unlawful killing was recorded at the inquest into the death of 71 year- old Les Bate.

He was found battered to death at his farmhouse in north Cornwall in April 2002. The case remains unsolved. Our Cornwall correspondent Steve Hardy reports.

Inquest into death of farmer continues

An inquest into the death of a Cornish farmer who was killed ten years ago is due to finish today. Les Bate who was 71 was found dead at his farmhouse. His death is still unsolved. Yesterday, the inquest heard he was carrying more than 500 pounds in his wallet the night before he died.
