Bristol prepares for biggest election count

A practice run has been held for the biggest election count ever to be undertaken in Bristol. The city goes to the polls next month to vote for the new positions of mayor of Bristol and police commissioner for the Avon and Somerset force.

Two thousand people will be working on the day to make sure the count goes smoothly. Today election officials gathered at the University of the West of England to test out counting and verification systems.
