A man who was washed into the sea in Cornwall has died, police have confirmed.
Devon and Cornwall Police say they were called to a report of two men having been washed in to the sea near Treyarnon Bay, North Cornwall.
Following a search by the RNLI and HM coastguard a 21 year old male was located and airlifted to the Royal Cornwall Hospital, Treliske where he was confirmed deceased. His Next of Kin have been informed.
The men had been fishing off the rocks.
The search for the second man has been resumed after being suspended overnight.
The search for a man who is missing off the coast of Treyarnon has been completed for this evening (Monday) with nothing found. A further search will resume tomorrow morning at 7.00 am.
The UK Coastguard received a 999 call this afternoon to report that two men had been washed off the rocks into the sea. One was recovered from the sea within minutes of the 999 call but despite an intensive search for the second man involving the Coastguard helicopter, Coastguard rescue teams, lifeboats, lifeguards and Devon and Cornwall Police, the missing man could not be found.

Police say they're concerned about a woman who's gone missing from Cirencester.
Caroline Chan-Cotscher, who is 46, last seen in the town at 10am yesterday (2 September).
Officers say that she is probably wearing glasses.
Anyone with information is asked to call 999.

18-year-old Deon Shudall is believed to be in the Newquay area.
He was last seen at around 7:45pm on Wednesday.

Police say they are increasingly concerned about a man who's gone missing from Barnstaple.
32 year old Alec Millgate was last seen on the evening of Friday 28 July.
Alec is 6’4” tall and of athletic build. He has medium length straight ginger hair although it hair may be longer than shown in this photo.
He was clean shaven when he left on Friday but is likely to have stubble by now.
Anyone who has seen Alec is asked to contact the police on 101.
Police say they're concerned for the welfare of a missing man from Crediton.
48-year-old Gareth Meadows was last seen on Thursday 27 July at around 10.50 in the evening.
He was wearing a black polo shirt, a blue V-neck jumper and jeans.
Gareth is believed to have his car with him - it's a white Toyota Granvia MPV with number plate; R629 VOD.
