M5 southbound remains closed after lorry collision
Emergency services say the M5 remains closed southbound between J19 and J20 following an collision this morning between two lorries.
Avon Fire and Rescue says three HGVs were involved in the incident and one of the drivers was rescued by crews using cutting and rescue equipment.
Police are advising motorists to avoid the area and find alternative routes for travelling home from work during the rush hour this afternoon, as the obstruction may not be completely cleared.
The incident happened at around 3am this morning.
Police say one of the lorries involved in the incident is carrying chemicals which must be removed before the obstruction can be cleared.
Officers say it is "difficult to say" when the clearing process will be completed.
Britain's newest service station opens on M5
Britain's newest service station has opened today. The 40 million pound Gloucester Services on the M5 will mainly use local produce.
It will also be reinvesting a proportion of its income into the community and is designed to blend into the environment and will eventually have a grass roof, once it's grown.

M5 closure notice
The M5 motorway near Bristol will be closed overnight from 10pm-6am for the next four nights (Mon - Thurs) southbound between junctions 17 - 15, and northbound from junctions 17 - 16.
Engineers are installing a new footbridge. Repair work on the carriageway itself is also being carried out.

If you're heading out of the region on the M5 northbound, please be aware of delays in Worcestershire following a multi-vehicle accident.
Two lanes are closed between J7 A44 (Worcester / Evesham) and J6 A449 / A4440 Warndon Way / A4538 Pershore Lane (Worcester).
Congestion is back to J8 M50 and matrix signs are set to 40 mph.
Police are currently establishing a suitable diversion route.
Gloucester driver killed in motorway crash
An investigation's underway after the driver of a sports car was killed in a crash on the M5. The 63 year-old woman from Gloucester died last night following the accident involving her Mazda MX-5 and a van. It happened last night on the southbound carriageway between Worcester and Strensham.

Police investigate 'wrong way' possibility after M4 fatal crash
Investigations are underway after two people from Swindon were killed in a crash on the M4. Police believe one of the cars may have been travelling the wrong way.
An 82 year old man died at the scene between junctions 14-13 on Saturday. The other driver - a 48 year old man - died later.
Four taken to hospital after M4 crash
Four people were taken to hospital after a coach and three cars collided on the M4 near Bristol this afternoon. It happened between junctions 19(M32) and 20 (M5).
Afurther 29 patients – including all the occupants of the coach and a family offour in one of the cars – were assessed, treated and cleared on scene.
The four patientsrequiring hospital treatment were in two of the cars – the most seriouslyinjured being a woman who suffered chest injuries, including potential broken ribs.
