Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service was called out this afternoon to deal with a large tree that had fallen onto a van on the A3038 at Mullion.
The van was being driven at the time and fire crews said it was a miracle that the occupant was unharmed. Fortunately, the branches fell around the body of the van keeping the driver safe.
The A3083 is likely to remain closed near the turning for Mullion until midday tomorrow (Tuesday). It's affecting traffic between Helston and the Lizard. A diversion is signposted.
