Mousehole's Christmas lights will be switched off for an hour tonight in respect to those who lost their lives in the Penlee lifeboat disaster.
Eight lifeboatmen died while attempting to rescue the crew of the Union Star on December the 19th 1981.
Both ships were lost in the storm with a total of 16 dead. The lifeboatmen were all given posthumous medals for their actions.
A film which was shot in Cornwall is being premiered at the Savoy in London on Monday night.
Summer in February was filmed at Penlee House in the town and focuses on a colony of famous Edwardian artists.
