A parish council has been granted the right to mount a High Court challenge to plans for a controversial housing development near a quiet Cornish village.
Lanner Parish Council says the 25-home affordable housing development on land close to the village, near Redruth, goes against published planning policy.
The judicial review challenge is likely to go before the High Court in the autumn.
A final decision is expected (Thurs) on whether a controversial incinerator can be built in Cornwall. A ruling on the site at St Dennis is expected by judges at the Court of Appeal. Residents campaigning against the incinerator had won the backing of the High Court but that's being challenged.
People in Cirencester are being invited to have their say on emergency planning for the town. Residents are being asked to share their thoughts on a range of issues including how the town should respond to flooding and severe winter weather.
