A pedestrian who died in a crash on the M5 in South Gloucestershire, has been named.
27-year-old Bartosz Marcin Bednarek died when he was struck by a lorry between Junction 15 and 14 on the M5 northbound.
Police say a family liason officer is supporting his next of kin.
Three M5 northbound lanes between junction 14 and junction 16 have now been re-opened.
Highway authorities are now appealing for drivers who left their vehicles to return to them in order to get the traffic flowing again.
The lanes were closed following an earlier accident involving a pedestrian getting hit by several vehicles on the M5.
Police believe the pedestrian was hit by a lorry and other vehicles at around 4.40am, after leaving his car parked on a hard shoulder.Read the full story ›

Roads in Knowstone, South Molton will remain closed for a while, following a serious collision between a lorry and a motorcycle.
Emergency services, including an air ambulance and fire crews, are at the scene near the Moortown Barton picnic area, parallel to the A361.
Both vehicles caught fire, leaving a motorcyclist seriously injured.
There are closures between Beaples Moor Cross and Marley Moor and at Moortown Cross.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area. Diversions are also in place.

A motorist who died after driving the wrong way on the M4 motorway has been named.
41-year-old Anouska Paterson, from Lydbrook in Gloucestershire, died in a collision, between junctions 17 and 16 eastbound, on Sunday 27 August.
Wiltshire Police are still appealing for witnesses, including anyone who may have dash cam footage of a black Audi A3 being driven on the eastbound carriageway before the collision.
