The opening date for the new John Lewis shop in Exeter has been announced. The department store will open its doors for the first time at 9am on Friday 12th October.
The 17 million pound project is still taking shape. The store will eventually employ 300 people.

It is the fourth of July and while for Americans that means Independence Day, in Bridgwater they're celebrating Independents' Day. That means they want to encourage small shops. The town is calling on people to buy at least one item locally today.
