Warning: don't take selfies during Storm Barney as huge waves expected to hit the coast
As Storm Barney hits the West Country, with gusts of up to 80 miles an hour forecast on the coast, people are being warned not to pose for selfies in the spray, as they could be putting their lives at risk.
The warning comes from the Environment Agency and the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents, which are also asking motorists to avoid flood water.
Barney, the second storm powerful enough to be given a human name by the Met Office, will bring gale or severe gale force westerly winds on Tuesday afternoon and evening, generating large waves around exposed coasts in the South West.
