Taunton's Vivary Park closed for days
Taunton's Vivary Park is likely to be closed for days following severe flooding in the wake of torrential rain. The closure comes just six months after Taunton Deane Borough Council was forced to close the park after it was inundated in late April when Somerset was hit by severe rain storms.
The closures are unprecedented and the latest flooding is worse than in the spring. Neighbouring Taunton Deane Cricket Club is also under water. Council staff will monitor water levels in the park and reopen it as soon as it is possible.
