The bitterly cold wind didn't deter some from getting down onto the beach today.
In fact, the wind was just what they needed for the British Land Yachting Championships.

The two day event is being put on by Brean Land Yacht Club. Racing is due to start at 1100 on Saturday and 1000 on Sunday.

A former olympic yacht is on display outside the Maritime Museum in Falmouth to celebrate this year's games in London. The Bluebottle is a Dragon class yacht and was made over 60 years ago. It won a bronze medal in the 1956 Olympics in Melbourne.
The museum has restored the wooden-built yacht and has decorated it with banners wishing good luck to Team GB. It will be on display outside the Maritime Museum during the Olympics and Paralympics.
