RMT union continue strikes after no agreement reached with South Western Railway

Talks between SWR and the RMT union failed to reach a resolution.

Train stations will be left empty as strikes mean South Western Railway runs a 'severely reduced service'.

The RMT union have planned another 24 hour strike on Saturday 4th August over the ongoing argument about the role of train guards.

As a result trains will not stop at several stations.

The strikes are planned over the next four weekends with a 48 hour walk out happening at the end of the month.

It's claimed that talks between South Western Railway and the RMT union -aimed at averting more strikes - failed to reach a resolution.

A bus replacement service will be put in place for the stations that will be affected. They are asking people to please check before they travel.
