Deputy head resigns from Exeter school
The deputy head teacher of an Exeter college at the centre of a county council audit has resigned. Devon County Council confirmed that Beverly Maddern has handed in her notice at West Exe Technology College. It follows the resignation of her husband Steve Maddern who was headteacher at the college.
Mr Maddern stepped down last week after it was revealed he was earning more than the Prime Minister on a salary of more than £150,000. Mrs Maddern is on sick leave. She'll officially leave the college at the end of term.
