Setback for campaigners fighting Devonport incinerator

Campaigners fighting plans to build an incinerator at Devonport have received a setback with their legal challenge. 'PlymWIN's' case against the development has been refused a judicial review by the Court of Appeal.

Planning permission for the plant was granted last year and building work is due to start soon. The incinerator will burn 250,000 tonnes of waste a year - some residents are worried about health risks. Campaigners plan to continue their battle.
