The car giant BMW is to invest 250 million pounds in its three Mini factories in the UK, including its plant at Swindon.
The money will go to manufacturing operations over the next three years, safeguarding hundreds of jobs at the Swindon factory, which makes body panels for the car.
The German firm announced a 500 million pound investment last year and says its plans for the mini - which include up to ten different models - show its commitment to production in Britain.
