Man appears in court
A man's appeared before magistrates in Exeter, charged with murdering his mother.
The body of Linda Sheard, who was 63, was found at a house in Brixington, near Exmouth, last Wednesday.
Andrew Cane, who's 30, has been remanded in custody to appear at Exeter Crown court at the end of the month. A post mortem examination has proved inconclusive. Further tests are being carried out.
