The South West currently has an unemployment rate of 6.1% - the lowest in the UK. The area with the most unemployed people is the North East (10.9%).
Figures released today by the Office for National Statistics show unemployment fell by 5,000 in the South West between March and May this year.
The figures show a 0.8% fall in unemployment compared to the previous three months but only a 0.4% decrease on this time last year.
The total number of people out of work across the UK fell by 65,000 to 2.58 million from March to May, according to the Office for National Statistics.
