The Dorset Local Resilience Forum, which is made up of the police, Dorset Fire and Rescue Service, all the local councils and the coastguards, has issued a warning following the landslide at Burton Bradstock which claimed the life of a young woman.
It is advising residents and visitors to West Dorset to avoid cliffs and beaches with a cliff backdrop. Emergency services believe the heavy rain over the last few weeks combined with the recent heatwave caused the tragedy. It's estimated that 400 tonnes of rock fell in the collapse.
