A man has been arrested after a fatal accident on the A38 near Liskeard last Thursday.
The accident happened around 2.20pm at Halfway House, in the Glynn Valley. It is thought that there were six vehicles involved, including a motorcyclist who was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The motorcyclist was a local man in his early seventies who had been travelling eastbound towards Liskeard when he collided with a car and a HGV travelling in the opposite direction.
The driver of a BMW, a 37 year old from St Austell, was arrested for causing death by dangerous driving and has been released on police bail until 9 January 2013.
Police would like to appeal of witnesses to this incident to contact them on 101 and quote log 396 of 6 September 2012.
