A two-year operation into wildlife crime came to an end today with the sentencing of two men from Devon.
The RSPB, the Police and the Wildlife Crime Unit came together as part of Operation Blackwell which led to the conviction of a man described as being in the Premier League of illegal egg collecting.
But some leading naturalists have defended the hobby, with Sir David Attenborough saying it helps youngsters get connected to nature. Watch this report from Jacquie Bird.
