Devon and Cornwall Police are using shocking video of a drunk driver careering out of control outside a pub in Brixham to highlight their Christmas anti drink drive message.
The driver knocked down the wall of the pub, severely injuring the landlord. He suffered a fractured pelvis, broken ribs and a damaged spine. The police say they hope the stark warning of the consequences of drink driving will bring this Christmas's figures down.
