Dramatic footage of the moment a drunk driver mounted the pavement and ploughed into the manager of a Devon pub is at the heart of Devon & Cornwall's Christmas drink-drive message.
Kevin O'Neill suffered a broken pelvis, fractured ribs and spinal damage after being hit by the car that was being driven by a man who admitted drink driving.
The police say they hope the warning of the consequences of drink driving will reduce the figures this Christmas.
