Devon and Cornwall Police is using shocking video of a drunk driver careering out of control in Brixham to highlight their Christmas anti drink drive message.
The driver knocked down the wall of the pub, severely injuring the landlord. He suffered a fractured pelvis, broken ribs and a damaged spine.
The police say they hope the stark warning of the consequences of drink driving will bring this Christmas's figures down.
