Second accident closes M5 in Devon

A second serious accident has happened on the M5 between Exeter and Cullompton. It happened just before 4pm involving three cars and a HGV on the northbound carriageway between Junction 29 and 28.

Two people have been seriously injured and have been taken to Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, one by air ambulance. The M5 is now closed both southbound and northbound with queueing traffic.

Man Dies In M5 Exeter Crash

A 47-year-old man from Shropshire died in a crash on the M5 near Exeter yesterday afternoon. The motorway was closed for several hours causing long delays on the diversion routes.
